The city has extended parking meter enforcement until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays in our South Side bar and restaurant district. Enforcement of the $1.50 per hour fee between 6 PM and 12 PM begins this Friday April 14th.
There's no hourly limit on the meters during this time.

Happy Easter weekend!
The Open Streets movement is sweeping the globe and is entering its third year here in Pittsburgh! In its first year, OpenStreetsPGH included the neighborhoods of Downtown, the Strip District and Lawrenceville. Last year it expanded again into the Northside and the West End. And, this year it will include a loop in Uptown and the South Side on Sunday, May 28th!
Today the new parking rules take effect for the South Side. The Pittsburgh Parking Authority and The City of Pittsburgh will embark on a 28 day outreach and education period to inform the public about changes to South Side mobility and parking.
The South Side Chamber of Commerce hosted the St Patrick's Day Parade safety meeting on February 28th to discuss the City's plans to keep visitors and residents safe during this day of reveling on Carson Street.
Mark your calendars for OpenStreetsPGH on the beautiful Sunday morning of May 28th. BikePGH's wildly popular event will be coming down Carson Street from the 10th Street Bridge to the Birmingham Bridge.
