The South Side Soup Contest was created by the South Side Local Development Company in 2004 as way to showcase what the South Side retail and business community had to offer. . This year the event will benefit the Brashear Association and the South Side Chamber of Commerce. The event is operated and organized by members of both organizations along with almost 100 volunteers from around the Pittsburgh community.
