2023 OpenStreetsPGH in the South Side

It all started when…

OpenStreetsPGH hosted by BikePGH temporarily closed roads to motor traffic, and invited Pittsburghers to reimagine our streets as places for people. Everyone walked, ran, biked, skated, rolled, danced, and enjoyed the road at their own pace! Participants jumped into a free fitness class at the wellness hub, learned how to ride, drift or tackle a jumps course at the kids hub, enjoyed food from local vendors, and played in the streets with activities hosted by over 50 local organizations.

It was magical and a great time for our South Side community to shine!
