Business owners, residents, property owners, patrons, students, and everyone else who wants to make a commitment to work together for a better East Carson Street are invited to attend one of two strategy meetings:

January 24, 2019 at 6:00 PM.
January 29, 2019 at 10:00 AM.

At these meetings you’ll:
1. Hear a brief report on the East Carson Street Strategy study
2. Set up volunteer task forces in the following areas:

Economic Vitality
Marketing and Promotion
Public Aesthetics
Develop Work Plans for 2019 action!

These meetings are hosted by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA), the City of Pittsburgh, and the South Side Planning Forum organizations to share the study results and the start of developing strategies to maintain and improve our business district and preserve and protect its national and city historic designations.

As has been reported regularly at South Side Planning Forum meetings and covered in the South Pittsburgh Reporter, the study has been completed. Consultant Fourth Economy’s 92-page final report on the study is available at the URA’s website at https://www.ura.org/pages/strategic-plans.
