City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety Prepares for St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

PITTSBURGH, PA (March 8, 2023) - On Saturday, March 11th, the annual St. Patrick's Day parade will make its way through Downtown from Liberty Avenue and 11th Street beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will proceed to Grant Street, turning right onto the Boulevard of the Allies, before heading to the end of the route at Stanwix Street. This popular tradition attracts some of the largest crowds in the United States, as tens of thousands of revelers line the parade route

Route 837 East Carson Street Paving Continues in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on East Carson Street (Route 837) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will continue Monday, August 1 weather permitting.

Milling and paving operations, requiring a single-lane restriction in each direction on East Carson Street will occur between South 23rd Street and South 33rd Street Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Saturday, August 20.

Route 837 East Carson Street Lane Restrictions Begin Monday in Pittsburgh

PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on East Carson Street (Route 837) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will begin Monday, August 2 weather permitting.

Starting 6 a.m. Monday, traffic in each direction on East Carson Street will utilize ten-foot width lanes around-the-clock according to the following schedule:

  • Between Eight and Tenth Streets through 6 p.m. Friday, August 6;

  • Between 21st and 24th Streets through mid-October.
