OpenStreetsPGH in South Side!

Sunday, May 28th from 10 am to 2 pm

OpenStreetsPGH temporarily closes streets to motor vehicles and invites Pittsburghers and friends to reimagine our streets as places for people. Walk, run, bike, skate, roll, dance, and enjoy the route at your own pace. Jump into a free fitness class at the wellness hub, learn how to bike at the kids hub, grab food from local businesses, and enjoy fun activities hosted by local organizations.

This event series is organized by Bike Pittsburgh, a non-profit organization that works on behalf of the Pittsburgh community to transform our streets and communities into more vibrant, healthy places by making them safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk.

North Shore to South Side

Take this unique opportunity to walk, roll, or stroll from the heart of the North Shore into the heart of the Golden Triangle, through a motor vehicles free Armstrong Tunnel, and over the iconic 10th Street Bridge and into the popular East Carson Street business district!

Have Fun!

The Arts & Culture Stage will be in the South Side at East Carson Street and S. 20th Street. Come out to hear great live music, meet your neighbors, make crafts, and have fun with your kids. Show your strength with ASCEND's fun climbing activities, acro yoga, and feats of strength contests.

Don't miss the live music, food, beer, unicycles, balance bike fun zone, and bike repair clinic at Thick Bikes on S.15th Street and Bingham Street!

Visit the South Side Chamber of Commerce welcome tent to say hello and hear the rockin’ music of South Side’s DJ Phil Sauter at S. 11th Street and East Carson Street. Take a chance at a free raffle to win a beautiful South Side NO PARKING Chair created by Commonwealth Press! Are you wondering if the dancing dinosaur will be there?

Enjoy live entertainment at Esser’s Plaza and kids’ games and treats at Armstrong Park, both at S. 12th Street between East Carson and Sarah Streets, co-sponsored by South Side Community Council and South Side Chamber of Commerce.
